We know that not everyone has a local FaithTech community in their city so this is an opportunity to get plugged into our global community and learn more about how our local ones function.

This month, we’re excited to welcome Derek C. Schuurman, Ph.D., who will be speaking on AI and the Biblical Story: Thoughts from a Christian Computer Scientist.

Many believe that AI could lead us toward some sort of paradise. A rival story suggests that the future doesn’t need us and that AI will ultimately threaten humanity. This talk will explore a vision for AI informed by the Biblical story and how it can guide us toward more responsible technology. Despite being written during the bronze and iron ages, the Biblical narrative remains relevant with implications for AI in today’s digital age.

Make sure to bring your questions for Q&A afterwards!

Come meet, learn, and build with other like minded Christians in tech as we steward our skills for the glory of God together!

Join us for this insightful talk on June 28th!
