Christine Abernathy

Nashville City Co-Lead and Labs Lead

Christine spent 10 years at Facebook, most of which was as a Senior Developer and on their Open Source team. She then spent two years with F5 as a Senior Open Source lead. She has been involved in FaithTech since 2020, leading projects (ie: She was on the winning team of the COVID Church Hackathon – Sound of Your Love) and speaking at various events. When we hosted a small team of experts to help give feedback on our Redemptive Technology Playbook in Boston, that included folks like Andy Crouch and John Dyer, we had Christine come as one of our most respected voices. She has been travelling the world speaking at various AI & Open Source conferences (example here when she spoke at All Things Open on “Fortifying the Future: Tackling Security Challenges in AI/ML Applications”). Her knowledge and understanding of A.I., from a technical and biblically-based ethical perspective, is very solid. To add to it all, she has a successful entrepreneurial background having Co-founded Clickmarks in June 1999, a company acquired by Semotus Solutions in June 2005. She received her Bachelors and Master in Electrical Engineering from MIT.
