For the last decade, we’ve explored the intersection of faith and technology. We’ve sought opportunities and built communities in 50 cities and 20 countries, proving that the people of God belong in the world’s most influential industry.
Yet, as tech continues to rewrite the social fabric of our world, "opportunity" is no longer enough. We as the people of the industry now have a responsibility. It’s now time to lead in the contexts where God has placed us with a prophetic voice.
From September 24–26, 2026, join us in Monterey, CA, for Awaken 2026. This isn't just another conference; it’s a gathering of our global FaithTech community to pray, worship, and learn together. It is a strategic gathering of builders, founders, and visionaries coming together to define a prophetic voice for the next decade of innovation.

We are at a cultural inflection point—a moment right now when frontier technologies like artificial intelligence are dominating and shaping the very fabric of our society. You see tech companies that are really no longer tech companies, but becoming energy, real estate, and finance companies. I don't know if you're feeling this too, but I'm feeling this rising anxiety all over the world that seems to be intensifying.
My question is, what is our response? What is the global church's response for this cultural moment?
In September, we are gathering together our global FaithTech community for the very first time in 10 years to celebrate what God has done. But even more than that, we are looking ahead to the next decade. We are asking God to speak to us so that we can, in turn, speak into the world.
This moment we're in requires courage. It requires a community of people that are willing to have a prophetic voice to speak the good news of Jesus Christ boldly into the world of technology. It's going to take us as a community of people to dream differently to help the church have language and a vision for how to respond to this technological moment.
So, I want to invite you into this community, into this gathering to listen and discern together. I believe this will be a historic gathering of our time, gathering people who are passionate for Jesus, and passionate to have a vision of technology that is deeply and wholeheartedly redemptive.

When is Awaken?
Awaken will run from September 24–26, 2026, with guests arriving on the afternoon of September 24 for 3 days of retreat and departing on September 27 after breakfast.
Where is the location?
It will be hosted at Asilomar Hotel and Conference Grounds on the Monterey Coast in California, USA — a historic Christian retreat center founded over 100 years ago by the YWCA to provide shelter and vocational training for women.
Who can attend?
It is an invite-only gathering for FaithTech staff, City Leads and teams, and strategic partners and donors. We’re aiming for 300–400 guests, all hand-picked to honor your journey with FaithTech over the past decade.

Yes, the people are what truly matter. You can now nominate tech leaders, church leaders, and community builders to join this family gathering. Learn more about the criteria from James’ post here.

When does Registration start and end?
Registration opens in April 2026, with confirmations targeted by June 19, 2026.
How much does it cost?
The current budgeted cost is approximately USD $1,000 per participant for our 3-day gathering, covering everything from your accommodation, food and beverage and event logistics.
We recognize that not everyone is in the same financial position to fully cover registration and transportation. We are committed to not letting cost be the reason someone cannot attend. Subsidies will be made available on a case-by-case basis. Please consider community-based supports like your local Church, mentors, or company programs who might be able to assist you in coming to Awaken.

What payment methods are available?
Registration fees will be collected via the online registration platform Luma, which accepts all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
How shall I arrange flights and transportation?
You may book flights directly or via our travel advisor. We also offer shuttle arrangements from three major airports (San Francisco, San Jose, and Monterey) to Asilomar.
We offer a limited Flight Fund to help city leads and leadership teams who otherwise couldn’t attend. Support is need-based, first-come-first-served, and allocated by region. You can apply here for a stipend after registering and reviewing the detailed policy.

What are the best airports to fly into?
For international guests, the primary airport is San Francisco (SFO). Guests from the US and Canada are encouraged to fly into San Jose (SJC) or Monterey (MRY), which are closer to the venue.
What’s the deadline to cancel and get a refund?
Because lodging is arranged as a group booking, please let us know by June 30, 2026, if you are unable to attend.
Would you accept donations?
Yes. We would love to invite collective generosity to make this gathering possible. If you’d like to support city leads, you can contribute toward their registration fees or donate frequent flyer points to help cover travel.
